Our calculators run entirely in your web browser. The measurements and numbers you type in are never sent to us, stored by us, or shared with anyone. We do not require accounts, we do not ask for your name or address to use a calculator, and we do not sell personal information. The site uses cookies for basic analytics and, once enabled, for advertising, as described below.

Information We Collect

Calculator inputs: none. All calculations happen on your device using code loaded with the page. When you close the tab, your inputs are gone.

Usage data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs that include your IP address, browser type, the pages visited and the time of the visit. These logs are used to keep the site secure, understand which calculators are popular, and fix errors. We may use a privacy respecting analytics service that reports aggregate statistics, such as how many people used the paint calculator this week, without identifying individual visitors.

Email: if you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, and we do not add you to any marketing list.

Cookies and Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. When advertising is active, third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

HomeCalcWise is written for adult homeowners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold almost no personal information beyond email correspondence and server logs, most requests are simple.
